EN AW-5083 H111 aluminium alloy plate for boat sea water resistant marine grade aluminum sheet
Aluminium Alloy Plates are medium strength alloy plates with exceptional corrosion resistance. Aluminum sheet plates are created by surpassing aluminum between rolls underneath pressure, it becomes thinnerand longer in the moving direction.
5083 aluminium alloy plate is an aluminium alloy with magnesium and traces of manganese and chromium. It is highly resistant to attack by seawater and industrial chemicals. Alloy 5083 retains exceptional strength after welding
Aluminium alloy 5083 contains 5.2% magnesium, 0.1% manganese and 0.1% chromium. In the tempered condition, it is strong, and retains good formability due to excellent ductility. 5083 has high resistance to corrosion, and is used in marine applications. It has the low density and excellent thermal conductivity common to all aluminium alloys.
5083 H116/H321 aluminum sheet is used as marine aluminum sheet. The mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and welding performance are relatively superior, mainly for the strake, hull structure of the bending plate and on the outboard plate
5083-H111 aluminum is 5083 aluminum in the H111 temper. To achieve this temper, the metal is strain hardened to a strength that is lower than what is permissible for H11 (1/8-hard).
